Therapy and coaching

…with a specialism for people who work in the technology industry

“I was once skeptical about the impact therapy could have, but Thayer completely changed that. I left our initial cycle with more confidence, self-worth, and a greater sense of control.” — M, 2025

Thayer works with C-level execs, founders and people across all levels. Sessions can be therapy, coaching, or a blend that fits what you need. You get a confidential space with someone who understands the realities of building products, scaling teams and navigating all the chaos of being a human in the tech industry brings.

Sometimes it helps to speak with someone outside the situation who has trained to listen properly and ask the right questions to help you move forward. Thayer understands the systemic challenges in technology and focuses on practical change that fits your values.

Longer term she plans to qualify as a COSRT sex therapist, and will be stating a formal qualification in psychosexual therapy in January 2026.

Thayer follows industry ethical standards and undertakes supervision. She is not on the BACP register by choice and is challenging policies that disadvantage carers and some disabled practitioners.

What clients say

I started working with Thayer shortly after moving into a more senior role at work in order to support my transition, but coincidentally in the six months following, various personal life events occurred and Thayer was there every step of the way. Thayer has a unique ability to instantly build a strong feeling of psychological safety and by asking the right questions, helped me to reach solutions to challenges (both at work and in my personal life), reduce self-doubt, and become more authentic in a short space of time. Over the 20 sessions I had, Thayer introduced me to various new ways of thinking and I now have a range of techniques I can apply to help overcome anything life throws at me in future.

Thanks for everything, Thayer.

Mark, 2025

Thayer has been working with me and providing career therapy during the course of 2024. I have to say that she is the most friendly of people in a matey kind of way, not as someone speaking from on high or looking down on an afflicted victim. She is very friendly, massively insightful and isn’t afraid to tell me how it is, but always in the nicest possible way. Thayer has given me a springboard to think more positively, and deal much better with my work anxieties. She has also helped me to process more effectively my ongoing worries about my career, the frustrations and viable alternatives around what I do for a living and what it all means to me. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anybody who is looking for expert help around dealing with and progressing in their work or career and what might underlie these fears and worries.
